We have had our first booking from Alexander Rad who is working at IBM in Dublin. Alex did a masters writing a well-received paper on Intergrated Risk, and completed the practical side of that with Sydkraft, the electrical utilities company in Southern Sweden before it became part of EON before being courted by consultancies in Spain, London, and eventually ending up at IBM. He has also written various reports including one for the Swedish National Chamber of Commerce. It is only available in Swedish. On a lighter note, he also has the distinction of being chosen and taking part in the Swedish equivalent of Donald Trump’s “The Apprentice” where he was first out: they asked him to choose between going home to look after an important piece of family health and being away for one day and being in the program. No contest.
Swedish OD has also received many notes of support. From Dr Grace Endres, senior OD practioner with the US Postal Service and on the board of the National Career Development Agency, from Dr Chris Taylor in Ireland - who has a thoroughly marvellous sense of humor, from Peter A Hunter of Breaking the Mould, and Sally Foan of People Tree Training who came to Peter’s inaugral annual conference in the UK . Notably here in Sweden from Bengt Lindström, senior partner at Anders and Lindström in Stockholm, and from Håkan Liljekvist and Eva Francke at the Management Support Group in Gothenburg. I am meeting with Bengt this weekend, and going to Gothenburg on the 28th November.
Particularly impressive was the Finnish effort. Aulis Lamio is chairman of Kolme-Dee who owns the copyright for the Reddin technology in Finland had no hesitation in becoming involved and in sending the notice of conference to a large number of people on their mailing list. Excellent.
There be taking a meeting with Malmö Museum and Malmö Turism. Both Birgitta Petrén and Lars Carmèn are senior in Malmö town council’s culture development and both have worked with Business Intelegant before and we look to keep it relaxed, focused, and alive to the possibilities that such a congress presents.
